Diary of the Pandemic Years
March 2023 - Many people in the world believe that the COVID pandemic is over. It is not. Still, people are exhausted with the pressure of trying to stay safe and are throwing caution to the wind. Many are finding ways to feel free again while having learned some safety lessons to keep for a lifetime. I fall into that category. No more holding my breath, yet, remaining cautious.
During all of this, it seems the G.U.T.S. family has crumbled. No one is staying in touch. Band members have disappeared, though are likely safe and happy where ever they went to. I just can't report where because I don't know. I believe one of them is performing out with a variety of different bands. The other is non-responsive. No, we didn't have a falling out of any kind. They just made their pandemic choices and decided to not communicate them.
March 2022 - The COVID pandemic is easing in many parts of the world and musicians and performers are slowly performing live again. Some G.U.T.S. members believe they will be safe performing out and others don't yet feel safe to do that. Those that feel safe are performing with a variety of musician friends and exploring other options for live performance.
March 2021 - The COVID pandemic is still with us and many musicians/performers are finding ways to perform virtually. ZOOM to the rescue. The G.U.T.S. family are all keeping safe, staying in touch virtually, and looking forward to performing out soon.
March 2020 - The COVID pandemic has shut us all down and we are staying in touch by video chats until further notice.
May 22, 2016 - We are excited to announce that we have been working on our first music video with photographer/videographer Amanda Boggs, dancer Brooke Notary, and are set to work with recording engineer, Jay Robbins in Baltimore. Jay recorded our first album in his studio, Magpie Cage.
We have a hopeful release date in July 2016.
We are also taking some time to write new tunes for our next album. We'll keep you posted.
We had a great show with The Cold and Lovely @The Black Cat.
